Whitby is the jewel in the crown of the North Yorkshire coastline. At the mouth of the River Esk, Whitby has a rich maritime history. These days it's the perfect location for a break by the sea.
To the north and south of Whitby you'll find pretty seaside villages, coastal footpaths, woodland, wildlife and sandy beaches. Inland you'll find the dramatic North York Moors and the Esk Valley.
